I have been reading more photography articles than ever before. Sometimes it’s re-hashing things I already knew. Sometimes it is new and useful information. One thing I came to realize in all my readings was, I have a STYLE of photography. I have a photo journalistic style of photography. I capture real life events, be it people, places or objects. According to a few friends I have spoke with, they say that they can distinguish one of my photos from the others. I wonder if that is a good or bad thing with the way I take the photos.
Now I have figured out what style of photography I do, I can continue with my reading and learning with a more directed focus. Although, my non-artistic brain is in overdrive trying to figure out how to make a photo I take, let you ‘live the moment’ rather that just see the moment.
One of many older autos I have photographed over the past few years. When I look at this photo, I see many things I wish I had done differently. Maybe this year I will.
