I didn’t follow the Rules.

I did not follow the rules to make a great photograph when I took this photo. And I will never get another chance to take a photo of him.

As I was transferring images from old CD and DVD discs onto a new storage hard drive, I saw this photo’s thumbnail. When the disc transfer was complete, I located and viewed this photo. I saw his wife laughing, as he would not look toward me. He knew I was there, waiting to snap his picture. So I snapped this shot anyway. Now this photo is priceless to me. As it is a picture of a friend who has left this earth too early.

I also broke the rule of, Shoot a lot, then Delete a lot, only keeping the good ones.  If I would have deleted this photo back in October 2011, just because I didn’t follow the rules, or because I didn’t think it was a great photo, a priceless memory would have be lost forever.

Be Safe, Enjoy Life and have a Great Day. . .
